WHO IS THE ALGERHYTHM?

Hi, I'm Alger, and welcome to my store!

I would describe myself as a jack of all trades, master of some. I have a knack for thinking outside of the box and I enjoy developing creative designs and solutions. I primarily make things out of wood, but I am expanding into different mediums. Over the last 13 years I have been handcrafting custom furniture & cabinets, designing and building custom awards and unique wood art, as well as finish carpentry work in the Lake Tahoe area.

My current "day job" is teaching. I am in my 7th year as a Career & Technical Educator in Northern Nevada, where I specialize in teaching 9-12th graders the various building trades in construction.

I am also a licensed contractor in the State of Nevada #0094690, specializing in finish carpentry, cabinetry, and custom furniture.

When I'm not in the shop working or teaching, my passion is to get out into the Sierra Nevada backcountry. Snowmobiling, snow skiing, mountain biking, and dirt bikes fill up my free time.
